This painting depicts a vase with red, pink, and white carnations on a table. The background also contains a teacup and saucer, a portrait on the wall, with drapes off to the left. The muted background showcases the bright colors of the flowers to draw the eye in.  There are two old repairs to the canvas as seen on the backside.  There is one small point of plaster loss on the bottom right corner, as well as a missing border on the top right corner (painted over).  This painting is an original French oil on canvas, unsigned.
