Match Strike

Approximate Dimensions: 3.75" Diameter, 2.375" Tall

Match strikes like this were very common in French cafe's or bistros as a more practical decor for match storage than the traditional match box. The tapered sides are textured for 'striking' the match head against to light, and the center cup area was to store the extra matches. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is no maker's mark or advertising present.
